These materials will be used in the classroom. I always teach a concept with several different methods, but having a class set of manipulatives will make this so much easier so that my students can follow along at their desks and make connections visually. We will be using the materials to graph equations on an x-y coordinate plane. Students will be able to manipulate the rubber bands on the peg boards to reflect changes in the slope and intercepts, and they will be able to perform transformations and rotations on the peg boards, which will help them visualize the concepts. The tiles will help students visually see how the Pythagorean theorem works with several different shapes.
