My students love taking care of the fish. They learn to say hello to them in multiple languages as they feed them. We have three choices of food that each student picks once a day to make sure they have a balanced diet. They love watching them glide through the tank, it’s so soothing. They also learn about the fishes’ habitat, as well as many other animal habitats. We have live plants in the tank too. They learn to take deep breaths while we envision no sounds in our environment, just like the fish have. Plus feeding the fish teaches us how we take care of our environment.
