These items will be used to supplement a curriculum void of diversity. Students will be allowed to check out books and form book clubs to discuss their readings. Additionally, students will be able to learn about other cultures and share similarities and differences. This will help foster a school community that will be knowledgeable and culturally sensitive to others. This will reduce the hate this country has been saturated with, giving us hope for a better future. Changes in curriculum, pedagogy and assessment style have all proven necessary. Please consider making this a reality for my students. This will be a great gift!
