The 5th grade teachers want to use the book Wonder as part of our ELA curriculum. It is our hope that our students will maybe see a piece of themselves in main the character, Augie. We also hope that by reading this book, it will instill in them compassion and empathy for others who are deemed "different". When students can see themselves in literature, it makes them feel seen in a world where they may be overlooked. Please help us to achieve this goal for our 5th grade students. Thank you.
