Students will be learning about famous artists such as Vincent Van Gogh and Frida Kahlo. They will learn about various painting styles, such as impasto (thickly applied paint to show texture. Van Gogh used the impasto technique in his work) and realism (trying to make an illusion of 3 dimensions that represent real life. Frida Kahlo used realism in her self portraits.). These desk easels will allow students to be able to prop up their canvas so that they can learn to paint in various styles that painting masters have used in the past!
