The materials are high interest, low readability selections. The chosen topics are relevant and reflect my students' interests. The selections can be read at home and shared with family and friends to foster comprehension. The reading selections were chosen by my students. They expressed concerns about their mental health and how they can help other students in need. My students want to be good citizens as well as good readers, and in order to do so they require materials that are engaging and relevant. My students have expressed concern about their future, and these reading selections cover those topics.
