I am a first year teacher and started 2 months into the year with little to nothing for these kids. Now that I have been there and seen how absolutely amazing these kids are, I realize they need and deserve alot more than I could give them. We have started using computers more and due to their sensory issues headphones would be amazing for them to help focus. We have a small selection of books in our class and more would books would be used to help my future readers. The notebooks would be used when we do math and science journals and each kid will have a journal of there own The pillows will be used in our "chill space" for kids that feel overwhelmed or overstimulated and just need a break. All the other school items will be used towards our math and ELA centers. Most of my students have experienced trauma and loss and my hope is to provide them with a place where they feel safe and comfortable. With your donation I will be able to make it a reality! Thank you so much.
