My favorite time of the day is story time and we do it every day! The children love to listen but I have had to cut back because of the strain of reading aloud through a mask. The masks are working, our classroom is healthy but my throat is paying the price. I want my students to enjoy a story without me losing my voice or yelling to be heard. Listening to reading is an important part of becoming an independent reader and the students love to listen to me read (especially when I use character voices). I appreciate your consideration very much.
