Unfortunately, our school committee has recently made a lot of cuts especially to teams and clubs. As a result, robotics has been completely cut from our schools budget. While thankfully we still have our fundraising budget and some grant money, not having a budget from the school committee has made it very difficult to order the things we need. In addition to this, our schools supply of computers has also severely decreased. In the past, we were able to have a laptop specifically for our team which was used for programming however due to the current lack of computers, multiple classes are being forced to share. Since no laptop is not used primarily for robotics, our schools IT department has made it very difficult for us to download the programs that we need such as Java and Git hub. Your generous donations would go towards a quality laptop for our team that will allow us to program our robot for the FIRST Tech Challenge competition. The laptop would also allow us to better teach incoming students and help ensure that we can consistently build a strong team. Having access to a laptop specifically for our team would also allow us to work from home when necessary.
