I am a secondary counselor returning to work after five years, and am now in a Kindergarten-2nd grade school. These students have not had a full in person year yet. It is clear to see that their social emotional development is lacking due to Covid-related distant learning for most of their education. My goal is to use these materials to work on socialization, expressing feelings and any other needs that arise this year. The books will be great for classroom guidance lessons school wide. The other activities will be used in small group and individual counseling sessions.
