All of the materials I have requested meet both a COVID- related learning need and to a specific Nevada Academic Content Standard. The books I have requested will help the students who are currently reading below grade level to have both fiction and non-fiction books they can read (RL.1.1-10 & RI.1.1-10) All students get more confident when they have a book they are able to read which is different then their reading group books. The fiction books will help the students to retell using details from the story to strengthen their comprehension. The non fiction books will have books text features such as Table of contents, Glossary, Index. Pictures , and Diagrams, The students will learn that nonfiction texts are factual and can be read in any order. The math manipulatives will allow the students to learn time (1.MD.B.3) using the clocks they are able to manipulate, the dice and white boards will help them with addition, subtraction and writing equations with the plus, subtraction and equal signs(1.OA.A.1-8) The 3d shapes will help the student learn their attributes (1.G.A.1)
