We will be building a robot as part of the FIRST Robotics Competition. The tools and supplies you see for this project will enable us to move from decades-old tools to modern and safer options for our students to learn hands-on Engineering in a team environment. These tools will enable our students to engage with STEM hands-on activities in the safest manner possible. Teaching our students to follow proper safety procedure will be valuable in many areas of our future projects. The safety glasses, ear plugs, and masks will help keep our students safe while using the power tools. The cut gloves will ensure that we can handle recently cut metal for the robot without injuries. the aprons and gloves will keep their clothes from getting damaged from casting material. and the shop towels and micro-fiber cloths will help us maintain a clean workshop.
