About my class

Colored pencils and markers are tools that are too often taken for granted. Students have been working with them since they were very young in school. Through their participation in art classes, their experiences and learning of techniques will broaden not only their perspective of colored pencils and markers, but also enhance their opportunities to create with these often underappreciated artistic tools. Students who need to work with colored pencils and/or markers in the classroom or at home on assignments will have the opportunity to borrow materials to take home and use, if necessary. Through sketchbook assignments, multi-media projects, and even planning for their creations students will benefit by having these colored pencils and markers. Every student will have access to quality tools, regardless of their individual circumstances. Everyone should be allowed to create with color!
