These instruments and pieces of equipment will allow my students to become proficient on an instrument and be able to play together as an ensemble by the end of their semester in music. At the moment I only have 2 guitars and 2 keyboards for my entire class which means I can only have the students playing every other week and they do not get the opportunity to get fluent on any instrument. The Midi keyboards will allow the students to develop their own compositions using recording software and spend a meaningful amount of time working on their instrumental skills when applying it to music production. Having bass and percussion and a PA system would mean we could create a band set up and do performances for the other students and for parents at school community event. I am committed to developing and nurturing the musical talent at this school. Especially because of the background of a lot of the students, most have not had the opportunity to play an instrument before my coming to the school, so it's really important to me that I give them that chance. We have several budding songwriters who have amazing ideas and just need the opportunity to learn how to combine all the different musical elements needed for a complete track. I want my students to become confident enough to perform live. Creating performance opportunities is helped massively by having a P.A. system. This means we can take performances to anywhere with a power supply and set up for a performance. I would be grateful for any and all of the items listed as they will all add opportunities for my students to further their learning in music in different ways.
