I work with my students in an extra classroom with random odds and ends in it that other classes didn't want. It's not very inviting or even comfortable. Students are always commenting how the room looks weird and uninviting. These items will help my students look forward to being in the classroom, feel comfortable with reading in flexible seating; while the headphones will allow them to listen along with audiobooks so they can read at their own pace. All of these together will help to instill a love of reading.
