It is amazing to see the kids outside playing this year in PE. The joy on their faces as they run, catch, jump and play is great to see. I try to do all that I can to encourage all kids to participate to their fullest, and I know they are so happy when they do. Soccer is a great game for PE class because it gives all kids a chance to run, kick, pass and score! My kids love it when I introduce new equipment to the class. It gives them a new enthusiasm and excitement to participate, and I am excited to add soccer to our rotation. Soccer is a great game for elementary school because it involves active moving, physical co-ordination, and teamwork. I can't wait to share this equipment with the kids! I have requested 2 types of goals. One set can be used for larger games with many kids, and the other goals can be used to divide the class into smaller groups. That way kids can focus on individual skills, and I can be sure that all kids are participating actively. I have also asked for soccer balls and a pump to make sure we have all that we need.
