The funds to use for these items will help with the social and emotional needs of special education students and the impacts from Covid-19 they endured. Special education students struggle with social skills, health, emotional well-being, and/ or academics and the impact of Covid-19 compounded those struggles. These resources will aid in social/emotional learning and academic recovery for special education students in the two elementary schools I serve and help them towards learning the Nevada Academic Content Standards for their grade. Specifically, the tools will help with identifying emotions, help with conversations, and calm students' anxiety with testing.
