COVIS-19 has been disastrous here, a very poor area in Las Vegas, our children are suffering a great deal. Many have lost multiple family members in this pandemic. It is tragic in a city that has so much extravagance and luxury, our kids seem to be ignored and left to fend for themselves. Being a school social worker, I see the needs of our struggling families on a daily basis. It is heartbreaking that they struggle to get even their basic needs met. The items that are on our wish list, such as the playdoh, fidgets, blocks and books, will help the students to express their emotions and feel less anxious and sad.

About my class
