I teach a beautiful, blossoming bunch of 46 second graders in Mississippi. We are a 2nd and 3rd grade public elementary school with over 900 students. My students range greatly in their reading abilities, from beginning readers to students at the 4th grade level. We are in an inclusion setting and have children with very diverse abilities. They love books about mystery, adventure, animals, and famous people. Many of our students are eager to read and are motivated by Accelerated Reader. Some of our students have not found that spark for reading, and we want to light it!
