These tools will allow students to have exposure to literacy and mathematical concepts that they may not have been exposed to prior to starting kindergarten. Additionally, donations to play equipment will help students to develop team building and social and emotional skills. Reading K.1.a-d Print Concepts Demonstrate understanding of the organization and basic features of print. K.2.a-e Phonological Awareness Demonstrate understanding of spoken words, syllables, and sounds (phonemes). K.3.a-d Phonics and Word Recognition Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words. Language K.1.a-f Conventions of Standard English Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking. Math Counting and Cardinality KCC.1.A Know number names and the count sequence KCC.1.B Count to tell the number of objects. Operations and Algebraic Thinking KOA.1.A Understand addition as putting together and adding to, and under- stand subtraction as taking apart and taking from.
