My students will use these decodable texts to practice reading specific phonics features. I will follow our district's scope and sequence to make sure to target necessary skills by using these decodables to enhance students' understanding. Authentic text is so important for reading acquisition, and providing my students with books is so important. Instead of relying on printed passages, we will use these decodables to systematically tailor instruction and target reading intervention for each student. No child should be left behind due to lack of resources; these books ensure that there is equity in my classroom.
