Help children access their communication skills! The materials and learning activities will make a difference by engaging the students in new and exiting ways. A large population of my students have difficulty identifying emotions in themselves and in others. Many of the Items I am requesting will give them opportunities to practice and familiarize themselves with many different types of feelings, situations and how to respond in healthy safe ways. Other Items requested will help students understand and use sounds and words in ways that will help them communicate effectively with others. Being able to effectively communicate will decrease frustration that leads to behavior issues and increase the students access to their academics and social situations. Learning and using clear understandable communication skills now can only increase our student’s success in both school and home environments. The things they learn and master now will stay with them for a life time.
