What helps to create your ideal learning environment? Is it the seating? Maybe the lighting? Do you feel more secure in a room that is well decorated? Chances are, many people feel the same way you do and have had similar answers. The physical environment of a room has great effects on the learning of the people in it. As we all know, students are extremely impressionable and absorbent. However, I constantly have students that complain that the lights are too aggressive or that they can’t get comfortable in their chairs which results in so much movement. The addition of new lighting options and different seating arrangements will help to create a better learning environment. As a first year teacher, I am trying to cultivate the best learning environment that I possibly can for my students! An inviting environment always creates repeat customers, and I'm aiming for the same with my students!
