I love to have my students work independently. It gives them the chance to showcase their skills that they have learned in our classroom. Right now without headphones, our class volume gets way too loud for my students to concentrate and comprehend what they are learning on the computer during our independent learning time. My students are constantly complaining that they cannot hear, and with limited space to move in a small room the sound is sometimes unbearable. With a class set of headphones, I can have my students work independently at their own level in a quiet environment, which will allow my students to concentrate more and comprehend what they are learning. These headphones will be used daily for different learning activities such as iReady, SmartyAnts, and Freckle throughout the school year to track my students' learning progress. Our classroom has no desks or space, so organization is key to our successful learning environment right now with 6 long tables. We have buckets in the center for materials, but they fall over often leading to institutional time lost as we clean them up. Organizational pockets would give my students their own organized space within the cramped seating we have. My students and I would be so grateful to be rewarded a class set of these items.
