These materials will make a great difference in the way our students take part their classroom community. These books will explicitly teach social skills that can be used across all environments, including at home. The literature we use will supports various social-emotional topics such as: mindfulness, appropriate classroom expectations and behaviors, problem solving and peer relationships. These lessons will encourage ongoing prosocial behaviors in the classroom as well as in the students' communities. Overall, we hope to encourage our students' positive leadership skills within the building and throughout the community.

About my class
