Almost one third of my class spent the past 15 months learning remotely. Much of their work was done online and at home. Many of them are adjusting to sitting in a school desk and chair for the first time since first grade. The wobble stools will provide students with an option to choose a seat that will allow them to move while reading and working. The reading pillows will offer another option for students to read on the floor. Many of my students strongly prefer to read ebooks rather than paper books. The books on my list will help us balance our screen time in the classroom, and provide more options for students to check out books to bring home to read. CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.3.10 By the end of the year, read and comprehend literature, including stories, dramas, and poetry, at the high end of the grades 2-3 text complexity band independently and proficiently.
