My first graders work hard towards their goals everyday. I have noticed they thrive when they are provided hands-on experiences which fosters their creativity and problem solving skills. My students love to collaborate so tools such as the Picasso Tiles, Kid K'Nex, and Legos will give them opportunities to work together while also developing their Social and Emotional Skills. Additionally, my students work in small groups during math centers time and really enjoy the centers where they can build things. They will truly appreciate new tools to learn and challenge themselves with! The Kinetic Sand will also have a ton of different uses. From being a tool for students to use to self-regulate to using it to write letters and numbers in. I know this will quickly become a favorite tool in my classroom!
