Growing a classroom library takes both time to curate thoughtful books, as well as funds that aren't often covered by standard classroom budgets. The book selections I have carefully chosen will help me create a rich classroom library that will enhance our learning of inclusion, empathy, and mindfulness. They also focus on developing healthy friendships, and teach students to connect with compassion to each other and our natural world. I want my students to love their classroom library. Children's positive relationship with books is greatly impacted by their ability to see themselves reflected on the pages, make text-to-self connections, and to feel the warmth that a good book can offer. Thank you for helping me nurture kind and curious young learners through carefully chosen literature.
