Students will be able to see pictorial examples of sounds we are working on with a large monitor. Students can see sight words on a bigger screen rather than on index cards. Students can watch phonics videos, such as Flocabulary, with a large monitor as a warm-up to our small group lesson. When students are able to visualize the lesson, it can help with their engagement and their reading success. I have many visual learners in my class, so having this monitor will help motivate them to become better readers.
