Since the return of in-person schooling, our students have been met with unique obstacles, mentally, socially, and emotionally. With an increase concern for mental health it has been decided that the students would benefit from 2 different types of groups. Firstly, anger management, in which the students who have been involved in physical altercations and have severe behavior issues (~45 students) will be attending. Since these are completely voluntary groups, attendance is going to be a bit challenging. The groups will take place once a week and are projected to take around 8 weeks to complete. In order to promote attendance I am requesting snacks and drinks. These students are difficult to get close to, as well as keep engaged, so I believe this is a great use of funds to foster participation! Snacks will be provided each time the group meets. Roughly 5 groups with around 8-10 students in them will meet each week. Similarly the second group will consist of stress/anxiety management. I am also requesting snacks for this group as well.
