With this project, I will be able to provide my students with resources that will help my students grow in all areas at school. Students will be able to write and draw with different materials to help them stay engaged in their lessons. Students will use flash cards to read sight words that go along with standard RF3.c: Read common high-frequency words by sight (e.g., the, of, to, you, she, my, is, are, do, does). Students will be able to use magnetic letters to spell and identify words. The students will use drawing paper, art supplies, and manipulatives, to identify characters and setting in dramatic play to retell stories and build confidence while talking with their partner and working on standard SL1 and TH:Pr4.K.1. Participate in collaborative conversations with diverse partners about kindergarten topics and texts with peers and adults in small and larger groups. A positive learning environment is created when you value participatory teaching and learning and when there is trust and rapport among students. It also builds trust between teachers and students. The learning games will challenge my students to master the identification of upper and lowercase letters (RF.K.1d), apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words (RF.K.3), practice letter sounds (RF.K.3a), develop drawings to solve problems, and even model daily processes by creating and following sets of step-by-step instructions (algorithms) to complete tasks. (K.AP.A.1) These resources will provide with higher motivation that leads to wonderful learning outcomes.
