Students will be practicing what they learned in class. They will have applications such as ABC mouse and Starfall. This will support and enrich the learning of the English Language. The emphasis will be on listening to sounds and words in English. They will also have an opportunity to explore by using Hands-on learning. The experience of using their senses in touching letters gives them a curiosity for learning. It is more enjoyable to learn about letters in this way, children are also more likely to remember how to form the letters better than more traditional literacy exercises. 1.PK.4 Recognize environmental print and symbols. 1.PK.1 Identify words that rhyme 3.PK.6 With assistance, listen and respond to words with tone (e.g., poems and finger plays). 3.PK.8 Predict what will happen next in a story .3.PK.9 Listen to age-appropriate material that makes connections to self and the world around them.
