Every student should understand the role of producers (plants) in in supplying all animals (including us!) with oxygen through photosynthesis. They should also know that this process aids in reducing global warming by trapping carbon. To truly understand photosynthesis you need to see it on the molecular level. That’s where these Geomakers come in! Students can use these items to model molecules of water and carbon dioxide, then go through the steps of taking apart those molecules and building new ones (glucose and O2) to see what happens inside of plants.
