Alternative education affords a fresh start. Students coming into this new school environment are given the opportunity to change their path. Our program provides structure, clear expectations and the framework on which students can build positive coping strategies. Requiring students to wear school uniforms is part of creating a safe, equitable and predictable school setting. It levels the playing field closing the divide between students whose families have the means to provide more expensive clothing and those who do not. Further, it takes the focus off of outward appearance and allows students to concentrate on their education.
