With this project, I would like to use clay in order to review landforms and have the students create their own. Reading about what a mountain is or seeing a picture of a peninsula is one thing, but being able to recreate it is another. When we complete that section, the clay can actually be used to reinforce other concepts like multiplication grouping or an addition review. Lastly, I would like to use this clay along with the tools to teach the students how to create their favorite character from their favorite book. Could you imagine how much of a lasting memory your child would have if they came home with a Dog Man or Captain Underpants sculpture?
