My goal is to add 2 more laptops to my 3rd grade classroom to allow for 1-1 technology. Giving students access to technology in the classroom gives them experience and skills to prepare them for the modern world. Having a laptop for each student will allow me to teach 21st century learning competencies and embed them into each subject and lesson. In ELA, students will use laptops to research and write expository essays (T4), as well as communicate their learning through different avenues like video, audio, images, etc. (SC3) In math, I would like to use the digital platform for math like Envision Practice Buddy and online assessments, as well as other math online programs like Dreambox. Students will be able to use creativity to showcase their learning through the various programs and applications available on laptops.
