The headphones will supply all my students with the ability to watch videos and listen to podcasts at their own pace in order to effectively learn about the content. Students often respond well to the ability to learn through technology and self-paced learning is a key element to students taking accountability for their own education. These headphones are vital to technology based instruction. In some lessons, I can direct students to the board to watch a video as a class, but it is difficult to keep all ~25 students in the same spot under the best of circumstances, let alone a video with a finite length. Giving students headphones to watch the videos on their own will ensure all students can succeed on their terms.
