The headphones will be used multiple times per day every day. Students work independently on high quality computer programs to assist instruction. However, it is not possible for all 18 students to have their sound blaring at the same time. The headphones would ensure that every student gets to utilize these programs to their full potential. Construction paper, crayons, and glue sticks are essentials in my classroom. We use these materials at least once per week. I often ask students to write about what we have read and then draw a picture to further explain what we have read. Paper towels, hand soap, and tissues are another classroom essential. I am fortunate enough to have a restroom and two sinks in my classroom, but that also means we use a lot more soap and paper towels than other teachers may.
