Most children have to develop a love of reading. It’s not something that comes naturally for some. Not being able to read fluently and on grade level might make reading a little intimidating. In my class, I want my students to develop a love of reading. I want them to pick up a book and the characters take them to places they have never been or heard of. I want them to build their knowledge and vocabulary and to become confident readers. When they read, they can sit wherever they are comfortable. Having flexible seating may help them to focus more on their reading. They can move it anywhere in the room that will provide a comfortable place to read.
