The backpacks, which are important, help them to feel a part of a tribe. One of my kids is teased because he doesn't have a backpack. One of the other kiddos' zippers is broken, but he is still able to utilize it somewhat. They also need safe outlets for their frustrations, so the stress balls are good for that. The games are where they have the most need and that's social-emotional work. They need a chance to prove that they aren't what society labels them and deserve a chance to succeed.

About my class
