We do not have a literacy intervention teacher this year, and students in my classroom are far below grade level in all academic areas. They are fast learners, especially during small group instruction. Due to the fact that students to have chromebooks provided by the district, students will be able to use their chromebooks with headphones to practice reading and math through other district provided applications. This would also provide me an opportunity to work with students in small groups. I created 4 leveled groups during small group instruction, where one group uses chromebooks at each corner of the classroom to not interrupt others. While another group works with me in a smaller setting, the other 2 groups are working on other independent work. Having headphones for the class would allow all students to use chromebooks during small group instruction time, with less distraction for students.
