Students in our classroom have a variety of needs and skills. Because of this wide range it requires a wide range of supplies and materials to accommodate their learning. We will use these supplies to help our students understand and engage in lessons for critical life skills, social/emotional learning, sensory regulation, social skills, academic skills and basic daily living skills. The cooking supplies will be used for our cooking classes on friday, which is a life skill. The sensory items, games and flexible seating help with sensory regulation, social skills and emotional learning. Many of the items also serve a dual purpose in that they help with academic skills as well as life skills. Every item will be used on a daily basis to help our students stay engaged, focused and foster creativity and learning in a unique way.
