These resources will allow my students to increase their functional communication skills which are foundational for all Nevada Academic Content Standards. Printing colored pictures will allow my students to communicate their wants and needs, providing a means of communication for my non-verbal students. The felt materials and familiar stories will increase engagement and reinforce participation with colorful, interactive materials. The puzzles and interactive materials will also encourage participation and increase independence. The fidget toys will used throughout the day as reinforcers for participation and appropriate behaviors. The fidget toys will also be used to increase social interactions and communication.
