My students are so excited to read books and to become readers! They love looking at books, holding books and learning to decode the words on the page. Our families are lacking the resources to provide a variety of reading materials to their children at home. I wish to expose my kids to a variety of genres and topics while teaching them how to decode the words, read fluently and improve both their reading and listening comprehension. I plan to use the books in both small group guided reading instruction, and as take home books for the children to share with their families while continuing to practice and improve their reading skills.

About my class
