These books will make a difference in the lives of my students by giving them access to authors and books they can relate to. This book will allow students to build a love for reading through the experiences of the characters represented. With a class set of this novel students will be able to journey through the stylistic and literary elements used by the author, Jason Reynolds, to help create vivid and clear pictures for readers. Students will be able to make connections to text using real life scenarios and experiences. Books will be used to model and guide instruction through our next novel set.
