Infusing various types of technology into our reading scholars class will definitely aid in providing 21st century learning opportunities and foster students' reading literacy skills. The on-the-go listening center and books on CD will allow students to engage in reading, utilize various reading strategies previously taught, participate in book discussions, and engage in interactive writing activities based on the book they read. The books on CD were chosen with students in mind, tapping into their interests. As students read about interesting topics independently or in small group, it allows them to practice reading on their own. The books on CD model what great reading sounds like and will work to improve their reading abilities. The donations to this project will help to improve my students reading literacy and truly allow them to see themselves as Super Readers! Please help me make this a reality and prepare them to be proficient members of our transformative global society.
