These materials are going to be used to help my students manage their stress and anxiety. Many times, my students will become overwhelmed with school, and those feelings will spill over and become problematic behaviors. Having a nice, relaxing cool-down area helps them have a place where they can specifically decompress and relax, then come back and be ready to continue learning. As of now, my cooldown area has blankets but is empty beyond that. Having a bean bag chair will give the students somewhere soft to sit, and the stress balls will allow them to use their hands to help manage their stress. The bounce bands will help the students manage their anxiety in their seats, and the floor cushions offer additional flexibility during lessons.
