My students are beginning their adventures in reading and enjoy looking at books. By helping me give my students a variety of engaging books from which to choose, students will be able to work on reading skills at home with families. The books in the chosen sets each have teachable moments in which students can apply to real-life. Books are essential for building students' reading skills and to encourage their comprehension development. Giving my students books will foster the continuation of our reading workshop model at home. These books will be treasures for years come! I am also requesting hand soap because, of course, we want to stay as clean and safe as possible in our classroom and around the building.
