My students have come to know me as the teacher with the most creative, engaging and unexpected lessons. Some of the classroom materials I am requesting will be used for student projects and activities as well as displaying work. I am requesting the beads and cheesecloth for a physiology lesson on kidney filtration. I am requesitng the Ms. Frizzle costume and plush to take my students on a Magic School Bus tour of the cardiovascular/digestive system as well as the sliding filament theory. Lastly, the team-building games are to build comraderie in a magnet school where students are transported from across the Vegas valley. The team-building games will allow students to build communication skills, collaborate with peers, strategize and think creatively and establish new friendships. The team-building games have always helped me engage students the first week of school. These team-building games will allow to me offer more games once they return from holiday break. As educators know, students return to the classroom exhausted and sometimes unmotivated after winter holiday. The team-building games will help them pick up where they left off!
