These products will be used in the classroom to help my students feel more in control of their learning. My teaching philosophy leans towards students feeling safe and comfortable and teaching will come second. Without the students having these needs met, they can be distracted or cause a distraction to others. My hope with flexible seating options is to decrease these behaviors and encourage my students to use what they need to make THEM successful. Teaching them that part of their education is their responsibility to find what works best for them. That is why I have three different seating options on the list. The carts and library book supplies are to make my classroom accessible to everyone. A gentle reminder that there are new books they could check out and prompt them to use that as an incentive to stay on task.
